An incident has come to light from the Bhojpur district of Bihar, which raises a big question on the working style of the police in the Nitish government.

The police of good governance have been accused of brutally beating a woman to death in the police station.

Bhojpur SP Vinay Tiwari is calling the death of a woman who was locked in the police station for three days a suicide, while the relatives of the deceased woman alleged that the policemen tortured the woman to death in the police station.

At present, the body of the woman has been kept for post-mortem in Ara Sadar Hospital, very deep marks of injury are visible on her body.

This case is of the Piro police station of Bhojpur district. The woman, who was locked in the police station for the last 72 hours, has died in a suspicious condition.

The deceased woman, coming from an extremely backward class, has been identified as Shobha Devi (46), who is said to be the wife of Munnu Prasad alias Munnu Kahar, a resident of Mothi village under Piro police station.

Police say that the woman who has been in the police station for three days has committed suicide.

While the relatives of the deceased woman say that the woman has been murdered. The policemen vandalized the police station in the name of interrogation and tortured the woman to death.

When the team of First Bihar contacted Piro police station regarding this incident, the Thanedar said that “Three days ago the woman was brought to the police station for questioning.

She was brought in the morning of 9th September on Teej day. She died today on 12th.” It is over. There was no FIR against her, nor was her name mentioned in any application as per the first Bihar News Channel.

The woman was not an accused in any case. Just had brought her to the police station for questioning for three days.”

Why and in which case the woman was brought to the police station for questioning?

On hearing this question, the SHO disconnected the phone and did not give any further information related to this incident.

After talking to the Thanedar, the team of First Bihar spoke to Bhojpur district’s SP IPS Vinay Tiwari.

Police Captain Vinay Tiwari told that “The woman Shobha Devi has committed suicide by hanging herself in the police station. She was not kept at any woman’s (constable)’s house. The woman committed suicide by hanging herself in the police station itself. A few days ago a Murder happened. The woman was brought for questioning in the same case.”

The woman was brought to the police only based on suspicion or was there any FIR against her, did anyone apply?

Hearing this question, the SP said that “Probe DSP Ashok Azad has been ordered to investigate. Action will be taken after the report is received.”

The police had kept the woman after bringing the woman to the police station for three days only for questioning?

In response to this question, Police Captain Vinay Tiwari said that “SDPO of Piro has been asked.

An investigation is going on. Everything will be clear only after the investigation report comes.”
