PATNA CITY: The government has made strict laws to stop dowry murder, but dowry demons are not deterring from their misdeeds.
The latest case is of Jehanabad district where the in-laws burnt the married woman alive by pouring kerosene oil on her. In critical condition, he was admitted to the Verne Hospital located at Agamkuan, Patna City.

It is said that 31-year-old Anamika, a resident of Patel Nagar in Fatuhan police station area of Patna City subdivision, was married on 30 April 2015 to Shiv Shankar Prasad, resident of Sheikh Alam Chak, Jehanabad. After a few days of marriage, her husband and in-laws started harassing Anamika.
When the relatives of the deceased came to know about this, they deposited twenty thousand rupees in the husband’s account. Once the money was given, the greed increased and again the demand for dowry started.
When the demand was not met, the husband and the in-laws together burnt her alive by spraying kerosene oil. Who was admitted to the Verne Hospital located in Agamkuan, Patna City in a critical condition.

The deceased Anamika also has a 4-year-old daughter. The incident has created a furore among the family members. The family is in a bad condition.
The relatives have accused the in-laws of dowry death and demanded the harshest punishment to the dowry greedy husband and in-laws.
At present, the police, who reached the spot, registered a case on the statement of the relatives of the deceased and started further action.
