Gurugram, India – People Matters, a leading HR and worktech platform, has announced the appointment of Pushkaraj Bidwai as its new CEO and board member, succeeding Ester Martinez, who has stepped down after 15 years at the helm. Bidwai, who previously served as Chief Business Officer, assumes his new role effective immediately.
Bidwai has been with People Matters since 2017 and has played a pivotal role in expanding the company’s presence into six new countries. As a founding member, he has been instrumental in shaping the company’s vision and has been preparing for this leadership role as part of a strategic succession plan. His appointment is seen as a natural transition, ensuring continuity and momentum in the company’s growth trajectory.
The announcement comes on the heels of Japan-based Mynavi Corporation’s complete acquisition of People Matters, building on its majority stake acquired last year. With this move, Mynavi aims to further expand its business in India and Asia, leveraging People Matters’ strong presence and expertise in the people and work industry.
Under Bidwai’s leadership, People Matters aims to solidify its position as a global brand, utilizing technology, data, and AI to enhance the HR and worktech landscape. The company will continue to focus on providing high-quality content and research to its community of 500,000 HR and talent leaders across India and APAC. Long-term team members will also have the opportunity to exercise their Employee Stock Option Plan (ESOP) rights and benefit from a cash-out.
