Patna: Patna Municipal Corporation has got a new Deputy Mayor. Ward 22C councillor Rajni Devi has been elected as the new deputy mayor of Patna.
During the voting in the ongoing election for Deputy Mayor on Thursday, Rajni Devi defeated Suchitra Singh and captured the post of Deputy Mayor.
A total of 59 councillors voted out of 74 councillors during the election. A total of 43 councillors made Rajni Devi victorious by voting.
Rajni Devi is considered a supporter of RJD
According to the information received, the new deputy mayor of Patna, Rajni Devi, is considered a supporter of RJD. In such a situation, it is being said that now the post of Deputy Mayor has been undeclared occupied by RJD. \
This time, 15 out of 74 councillors did not participate in voting during the election. Due to which only 54 councillors voted. Councillor of 22 B, Suchitra Singh, who stood in opposition to Rajni Devi, got only 15 votes.
Whereas one vote was cancelled due to some reason.

For this, a meeting was called from 11 o’clock. However, the councillors had to enter the meeting only till 12 o’clock.
During the election, there was a ruckus in the Hindi Bhavan. As soon as the election results came, Rajni Devi and her supporters were seen enthusiastically showing the victory sign.
