In this book published by the media publication of Delhi, Dr. Srivastava, citing the Economic Survey of the country and the state, said that the three major districts of North Bihar, Madhepura, Supaul and Sheohar are the poorest and economically weakest in the country’s map.

The state government’s economic survey has also accepted the issue of regional inequality in Bihar.

A book titled ‘Sankalp of North Bihar facing the brunt of neglect and backwardness’ was released on Friday at the Constitution Club of Delhi regarding the situation in North Bihar. Dr. Shambhu Sharan Srivastava, the author of the book and former member of the Bihar Legislative Council, said in his speech that most of the people who are migrating from Bihar today belong to North Bihar.

Until North India is not developed then Bihar will not be able to progress. Today, with the backwardness of North India, Bihar, East India and the whole of India are not progressing.

Today the issue of development of North India is linked with the development of India. North Bihar should now get justice.

He further said that the state capital in North Bihar, which is facing the brunt of neglect and step-treatment, should be shifted from Patna.

At the same time, an airport of international standard should also be built along with a bench of the High Court.

Srivastava demanded that the houses of all the big officers including CM, the minister should now be in North Bihar so that they can be directly connected with the public.

Srivastava, in his book, has talked about the establishment of major educational institutions, adopting scientific system on the lines of developed states for agriculture, fisheries and animal husbandry, and permanent arrangements for rescue of migrant laborers and floods.

The poorest in the map of the country from the districts of North Bihar

The book also gives suggestions to repair the closed sugar mills, the transport system in North Bihar and find permanent solutions to deal with the floods that come every year.

Shrivastava said that out of the total 27 universities in the state, most of the 18 universities are in the districts of South Bihar.

The most populous North Bihar has got only nine universities. Similar injustice has happened with North Bihar regarding medical colleges. Of the total 10 medical colleges in the state, only three have been given to the most populous region in the state.

At the same time, a maximum of 153 MLAs represents North Bihar in the state’s 243 Legislative Assembly. While 25 out of 40 MPs come from North Bihar.

During the program of the book release, many dignitaries related to political and social concerns including former Union Minister Devendra Yadav, former MP Sandeep Dixit, Arun Kumar were present.
