Vehicles will be banned in Anant Chaturdashi fair -East Champaran

Entry of all vehicles will be banned in the Anant Chaturdashi fair, the fair will be organized in East Champaran Bihar

A meeting was held under the chairmanship of SDM Sanjeev Kumar in the auditorium of the sub-divisional office regarding the Anant Chaturdashi fair, which lasted for five days from September 19.

Keeping in mind the convenience of the devotees coming on this occasion, many decisions were taken.

Govindganj MLA Sunil Mani Tiwari and Abbot of Someshwarnath Mahadev Temple Mahamandaleshwar Ravi Shankar Giri were also present in the meeting.

In order to ensure that the devotees coming to the fair do not face any kind of problem, discussions were held in the meeting regarding the arrangement of the halting-place, lighting, pure drinking water, security, cleanliness and toilets.

Several decisions were also taken to bring the system to the ground. In the meeting, MLA Shri Tiwari said that the visiting Shiv devotees camp at the doorsteps of local people apart from all the educational institutions, sub-divisional offices and block office premises of the sub-divisional headquarters.

There should be adequate lighting, cleanliness and proper arrangement of toilets at all the stop places.

At the same time, Nagar Panchayat Chief Councilor Dharmendra Kumar Dubey alias Mantu Dubey said that the cleaning of the temple premises, the halting-place as well as the temple road will be done by the Nagar Panchayat during the fair period.

In this sequence, the abbot said that adequate lighting arrangements would be made in all the halting places of the devotees as well as in the entire fair area.

Along with this, an arrangement of tokens will also be made for the post kanwariyas at Belwa Ghat as before.

In his address, the SDM said that the District Magistrate would be requested for an uninterrupted power supply during Anant Chaturdashi Mela.

At the same time, arrangement of 250 to 300 temporary toilets will also be made for the visiting devotees.

Along with this, a water ATM will be installed by the PHED department.

He has appealed to the members of the local volunteer organization that those who want to organize a camp for the service of the Kawaris, they should get the place secured by applying to the office.

Also, get the identity card made for the members working in the camp from the sub-division office. There will be a ban on the entry of all types of vehicles in the fair area.

All the officials including Registration Officer Yogesh Tripathi, BDO Amit Kumar Pandey, Vijay Sharma, Jwala Sharma, Vivekanand Pandey were present on the occasion.
